ASWJ says it wants to establish a Caliphate of Central and Southern Africa. ‘Action Overdue’Analysts say the transnational nature of the insurgency should have long prompted Mozambique and SADC into action. And there is a diplomatic wrinkle to it: President Felipe Nyusi of Mozambique is the SADC Chairperson. The Southern Africa director of Human Rights Watch, Mr Dewa Mavhinga, said Mozambique was underprepared to repel the terrorists.
