There is also a special red made here called Rossese that is unlike just about any other Italian red in existence today. ______________________________________________________________________________Francesco Rinaldi Gavi - Piedmont - Naturally, white wines from Piedmont are often overlooked, which is not surprising with world-class reds such as Barolo and Barbaresco that are produced in this region. Then of course, there is the ever popular Moscato d'Asti, a white wine people who don't normally drink wine always seem to love. His 2016 version is a very particular Italian white, with its deep golden yellow color and exotic aromas of Anjou pear, pineapple and apple jelly.
