MANILA, Philippines — The All UP (University of the Philippines) Workers Union – Manila chapter on Friday called on the leadership of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) to “immediately resolve the sad plight” of its health workers attending to coronavirus disease patients. ADVERTISEMENTThey also appealed for a P500 per day COVID-19 hazard pay on top of the existing hazard pay, provision of P100,000 to all COVID-19 positive healthcare workers, and implementation of a seven-day work with two-weeks quarantine work schedule. There are also 174 admitted COVID-19 patients but their classification is not yet clear. Since March 30, PGH has already conducted 7,323 tests on its healthcare workers, including a total of 439 tests that yielded positive results.
