A university Don, Professor Abdulmumini Bala Ahmed has criticized the system how the Nigeria Police arrest and prosecute suspects. The Professor said it is mandatory for the police prosecuting officers to always produce Police Central criminal Registry (PCCR) to Judges and Lawyers before the courts as evidence. Professor A B Ahmed stated this while delivering a paper on “state Legislative Advocacy and Sensitization workshop on the domestication and implementation of administration of criminal justice Act, 2015 in Jigawa state”. In his paper tagged “Overview of the Administration of Justice Act, 2015 in the Administration of Justice in Nigeria”, he blamed Nigeria police on how they always handle the arrests and prosecutions in general. however, he pointed out that “S.7 clearly prohibit arrest in lieu.
