Imagine a tool that could assist in forecasting the correlation between climate change and human health. “Climate change is absolutely the world’s worst and most unifying problem,” said Sarvesh Subramanian, a software engineer, during his TED talk on April 17th, 2019. Sarvesh combined two neural networks to develop software that predicts the impacts of climate change and its linkage to human health across the globe. Implementing neural network solutions requires collaboration between climate science, data science, and environmental policy experts to develop strategies to address global climate challenges successfully. As the impacts of climate change on human health become more pronounced, there is a growing call for urgent action.
