New Pittodrie sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel is leading the search for the Swede's replacement, and Record Sport has exclusively revealed that his German compatriot Rosler is high up their shortlist. Speaking to major German outlet BILD, he said: "Lutz brought me to Düsseldorf, we worked very well together, I have a high opinion of him. A whole host of other names have been linked with the post, including Hamburg and Koln boss Markus Gisdol. Closer to home, St Mirren's Stephen Robinson and Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou have also both been touted as potential successors to Thelin.
