Investigators at the HCMC Police Department yesterday, January 5, pressed charges against three officials at Vietnam Register’s Motor Vehicle Inspection Department over allegations that they had received bribes. In northern Vietnam, four deputy directors and one employee at the 98-06D auto inspection and registration center in Bac Giang Province were detained on January 4 for allegedly receiving bribes. Travel Off Path: Ho Chi Minh City named as trendiest Asian destination of 2023Ho Chi Minh City has been named as the trendiest Asian destination this year, as compiled by famous United States-based travel website Travel Off Path. Ho Chi Minh City topped the list to be named as the trendiest Asian destination for 2023, becoming the most sought-after destination overall. After 201 open sessions, 45 high-level private talks, 24 secret meetings, 500 press conferences, 1,000 interviews and hundreds of get-togethers in support of Vietnam, the Paris Agreement was signed on January 27, 1973 by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, the Republic of Vietnam, and the US.
