PETALING JAYA: Several initiatives have been rolled out by the government and NGOs, among them the Covid-19 vaccine registration platform ImuniSel by the Selangor state government, to address the dismal number of registration by senior citizens. The information collected by volunteers will then be channelled to the Selangor Health Department and MySejahtera’s primary vaccination database. Meanwhile, Mercy Malaysia also appealed for interested Malaysians to help individuals in need of assistance to register for vaccination in its “Agen Basmi Covid-19” (ABC) initiative. Besides that, those without smartphones or Internet access may also register by calling up the National Covid-19 Vaccination Registration line at 1800-888-828. Coordinating minister for the programme Khairy Jamaluddin said so far, two million elderly and vulnerable people have registered for vaccination.
