A federal appeals court heard arguments from lawyers for the New York district attorney and President Trump, completing another round in the lengthy litigation over the legality of a grand jury subpoena seeking years of the president’s financial documents. During Friday’s session, the three judges on the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel appeared skeptical at times of Mr. Trump’s claims that Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s subpoena was overbroad and issued in bad faith.
