An ice rink in Vancouver has been shut down after staff found a "significant" problem with its refrigeration system on Wednesday. The Vancouver Park Board said employees detected the issue and closed the rink safely sometime in the morning. A statement didn't provide further specifics to the problem — but said it could take several weeks or longer to get the rink's system up and running again, as staff reorders and installs new parts. Matsuda said the board hopes to have a plan in place by Oct. 8. Sunset Rink is part of the Sunset Community Centre, located on East 51 Avenue between Main and Fraser streets.
