MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Olympic Committee president Ricky Vargas yesterday called on the members of the national bowling team to strike hard and win the gold in the 30th SEA Games from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11. “When our bowlers compete against the best of Southeast Asia in the SEA Games, this will be our shining glory. Let’s cheer them to win the gold (medal),’’ he said. Earlier this week, the POC chief called on all stakeholders in Philippine sports to focus on the SEA Games, and hoped that they can set politics aside for the sake of the country. It has come to the attention of the board to review the programs of bowling,’’ said Vargas.
