Vatican releases schedule for Pope Leo XIV’s first Africa trip


The Vatican released the full schedule March 16 for Pope Leo’s first apostolic trip to Africa. During the trip, Pope Leo is scheduled to celebrate eight public Masses and deliver 11 speeches, while also meeting political leaders, Catholic communities, students, and missionaries. Pope Leo will travel across 11 cities, 18 flights and a total of more than 11,000 miles during his first apostolic trip to Africa April 13–23, 2026.
