Even as global markets reeled through the first half of 2020, venture funds filled their coffers with $61.3 billion, representing a multiyear high, according to data provider Preqin Ltd. The market for venture funds skewed heavily toward North America, away from Asia, and toward large funds, away from smaller pools this year, new data show.
