Over 230 motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs over the St Patrick's Bank Holiday Weekend. The number of motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs over the bank holiday weekend was “very disappointing”, according to gardaí. A total of 235 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence, while over 5,000 motorists were found speeding.
