THE victim of an ongoing murder investigation in Henley has been identified as Jennifer Symonds. Thames Valley Police were called to Phyllis Court Drive at 7.50am on Friday, March 6 where the 44-year-old, who lived in Henley, was discovered. Nelio Gouveia, aged 44 of Phyllis Court Drive, has been charged with murder and appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court yesterday (March 9). A significant police presence could be seen on the grounds of Phyllis Court Club on Friday, where a cordon was put in place as police shut off access to the towpath and asked rowers not to pass. Phyllis Court Club re-opened this morning (March 10) after it closed its clubhouse, fitness centre and grounds on Friday.
