Footage has emerged showing security guards kicking and punching a man in the middle of a main Auckland road. Police are investigating the incident, which happened on Great South Rd in Ōtāhuhu outside the Northern Communications Centre, in the middle of the day. The centre, also known as Piki Ki Te Ao, is a 24/7 emergency hub used by police and fire services. It is not clear how the incident began or who the security guards were working for at the time of the incident.
