The video-sharing platform Vimeo Inc. is publicizing the services it offers creators, in an effort to capitalize on booming demand for video. The company’s business strategy has prioritized creators over viewers since 2017, when Vimeo canceled plans for a paid streaming video service with its own original programming. But many people still perceive Vimeo as place to watch video, Chief Executive Anjali Sud said. “Really, we don’t compete with Netflix or YouTube for viewers,” Ms. Sud said. Targets include companies that believe they should create more and more video, often largely by themselves.
