Captain Van Dijk only has a year left on his current Liverpool deal and could decide to move on next summer if he cannot agree a fresh contract with the Reds. ‘I congratulated him of course and I’m really pleased for him and his family,’ Van Dijk said of his chat with Slot. ‘I still have a year left on my [Liverpool] contract.
