Group chief executive officer Chu Jenn Weng (pic) told StarBiz that the company had already shipped out inspection equipment with an estimated value of more than RM150mil. “Over the next two months, we have shipments of inspection equipment with an approximate value of about RM35mil to deliver. “Our inspection equipment is also used in new growth areas such as the solid state data storage, wafer and automotive industries,” Chu added. The price of the inspection equipment ranges between US$5,000 and US$10,000 for the machine vision system, US$100,000 and US$250,000 for AOI, and US$300,000 and US$500,000 for AXI. For the first-half of the financial year, Vitrox posted RM30mil in net profit on the back of an RM112.6mil turnover.
