The first jabs give us genuine hope we will finally beat a pandemic which has killed tens of thousands and devastated the economy. If that happens, Boris Johnson and his Conservative MPs will never be forgiven. Boris Johnson must not be precious, and Michel Barnier and Ursula von der Leyen must be prepared to compromise during last-ditch talks in Brussels this week. We can’t afford no deal. We can’t afford Boris Johnson.
