PETALING JAYA: The National Registration Deparment (NRD) has denied issuing an identity card registration form where applicants must vow to vote for Barisan Nasional. "We hereby inform that the document is fake and was not issued by the National Registration Department," it said. The "Special Application for Identity Card Form" required applications to state their personal details including their race, religion, a photo, and the parents' information. A pro-opposition blogger have speculated that the form is intended for foreigners who want to apply for a Malaysian identity card. However, the form does not ask for the applicant's gender and home address, two key information that are printed on the standard blue and red identity card.
