The Washington Commanders selected cornerback Emmanuel Forbes in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft because he was a difference-maker. In three seasons at Mississippi State, Forbes had 13 interceptions, six of which he returned for touchdowns. In front of an estimated 10,000 fans Saturday on Day 4 of training camp, Forbes displayed his ability to make big plays for the defense. Quarterback Sam Howell made an ill-advised throw to wide receiver Terry McLaurin that Forbes jumped and took the other way. As you can imagine, Forbes is already a fan favorite among Washington faithful.
