WATCHLOI to be replaced by new streaming service for League of Ireland fans

THE FAI have confirmed that the Watch LOI streaming service will end next week when the 2021 campaign enters the mid-season break - but there is a promise that a new streaming service will be available for the second half of the season. "At a time of uncertainty around the restart of the 2020 season, WATCHLOI was created to ensure that we supplied high-quality coverage of the Premier Division to supporters both in Ireland and across the world. I'd also like to thank the production staff and commentators for their fantastic coverage and passion for the league," FAI League director Mark Scanlon said. "We will be heading in a different direction after the mid-season break with a new streaming platform for supporters and more details will be announced in the coming weeks." RTE will continue with their schedule of showing some games live but it was confirmed earlier this week that Eir Sport, whose League of Ireland coverage was widely acclaimed, would be wound down this year.
