Wall Street Journal readers have strong feelings about a plan by the College Board to assign an adversity score to gauge the social and economic backgrounds of students who take the SAT. Responses to the SAT’s adversity score fell into three categories: those who argued that adversity scores are a bad idea, those who said the scores are a step in the right direction, and those who saw testing as a whole as an improper way to judge systematic inequality.
