WWE has taken one of its most featured stars off TV due to a messy contract situation. WWE.comWWE can add yet another top name to the list of disgruntled superstars who could soon leave the company. There may be an explanation for that now, though, as it appears Rusev’s long-running contract mess has gotten even messier. For whatever reason, WWE never went all the way with Rusev, and in early 2018, he reportedly requested his release from WWE. WWE paved the way for Hardy’s exit because he wanted a guarantee that he’d receive better booking, and WWE obviously wasn’t able to promise that.
