WWE SummerSlam could follow in the footsteps of WrestleMania 37 as a fan-filled show. But as more states begin to lift their pandemic-related restrictions, WWE is reportedly hoping to host just its second fan-filled event since the pandemic began. WWE is reportedly looking to beat AEW to the punch by returning to touring before AEW does, with the expectation that WWE will do so in July or August. That would seemingly position WWE to head a state—other than Florida—without crowd capacity restrictions, with Texas being the obvious candidate. While a lot of factors here will determine whether or not WWE leaves Florida for SummerSlam, the company looks determined to do so a year after McMahon was unable to get his wish.
