Just 54 kilometres east of Masterton is the largest beach resort in the Wairarapa, Riversdale, it's only 51 kilometres from Castle Point but an entirely different world. ANGIE BELCHER The Anzac Cross erected at the highest point of the Tinui Anzac Walkway. We take time to browse in the small iconic Wairarapa towns of Carterton and Greytown before heading towards Martinborough, Lake Ferry and Palliser Bay. As we spent our final night camped at the Lake Wairarapa Reserve, having swapped the coastal sights and smells for sweeping farmland we reflected on our journey.
