Kaydence Kabadaki closed down an attempted pass which left Laura Murtagh with only Wilmott-Joyce to beat. The Magpies at this stage were struggling to impose their game on the U’s but clear chances did continue to come. Murtagh beat Wilmott-Joyce with a controlled lob but the offside flag stifled home celebrations. Sarah Thompson for Maidenhead saw her glancing header from a Magpies corner saved on the line by McNulty. Cowell spun and sent a pass out to Fisher on the right, her cut back was slotted home at the near post by Walters to prompt more jubilant celebrations.
