SENATOR Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has donated N 2.7 million, fifty-four bags of rice and guinea corn to the families of the people killed by bandits in Warwana, Dutsi and Tursa villages, Gandi District, Rabah Local of Sokoto State. With the cash given, each of the deceased families was allocated with 100,000 naira cash, a bag of rice and a bag of guinea corn, to cushion their difficulties. According to a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani and issued to newsmen in Sokoto on Thursday. The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education, who also represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, made the donations on Tuesday when he led a retinue of his entourage on a condolence visit to the District Head of Gandi, Alhaji Maccido Yarin Gandi. While responding, the District Head of Gandi, Alhaji Maccido Yarin Gandi, commended the former Governor of Sokoto state for the invaluable visit.
