Homes, businesses, churches, schools and shop windows are all aglow in Wargrave as the village puts on its Advent Windows event once again. Created to add a bit of Christmas cheer and as a charity fundraiser, the Wargrave Advent Windows can be enjoyed on foot around the village at any time but lights are on from dusk until 11pm. People of all ages have entered into the spirit of things with a display at The Mount Care Home on School Hill and the village’s school and preschool have displays everyone can enjoy. Even a group on the allotment has taken part with a natural festive display. Wargrave Advent Window wanderers can purchase a trail map from either of the high street cafes, Daisy Love or H’artisan, for £1.
