Warm days, rain on Met radar

Alipore: The minimum temperature is set to rise in the city and rainfall is expected around Friday, the Met office said on Tuesday. The reason: a low-pressure area spread over the Andaman Sea has started moving west after remaining stuck for the past couple of days. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, a notch below normal. Since then, the minimum temperature has stayed below 17 degrees. Once the minimum temperature goes up, it is unlikely to drop soon because the cold winds from the northwest normally take time to drive out the moisture.
