Earlier this week, Eskom took over the loadshedding of customers in the City of Ekurhuleni. While Eskom will no longer implement the power outages for the City, the utility will continue to monitor the Ekurhuleni and other municipalities. Upcoming weekend loadsheddingPreparing the country for ongoing power outages and no reprieve from high stages of loadshedding, Eskom issued the following statement on Friday afternoon. Over the past 24 hours, a generating unit at Camden, Duvha and two generating units at Kendal power stations were returned to service. In the same period, a generating unit at Medupi and two generating units at Kriel power stations were taken offline for repairs.
