General manager Dan Richardson says that Vancouver Warriors won’t be pulled away from the big-picture game plan. Burton started the season on the physically unable to perform list but Richardson says that he’s close to being ready for action. Burton is a product of the Ontario Junior A Brampton Excelsiors program, and the Warriors traded up on draft day to get him, sending a 2019 second rounder to the Swarm for that selection. Vancouver didn’t have a second rounder to start this year’s draft. Oddly enough, Richardson traded Small to the Bandits on Nov. 28 in exchange for Mitch Jones.
