The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) exercise was no exception, as some residents of Tema were captured on video clashing with the taskforce conducting the demolition. One of the viral videos from one of the clashes captured residents who were protesting the destruction of their structures, mobbing the Mayor of TMA, Ebi Bright. Policemen, who were with the mayor, could be seen pushing back some of the men who were confronting her. Ebi Bright could also be heard cautioning the leaders of the committee to call their boys to order. The community members accepted the position of the mayor and requested more time to move their belongings before their houses are demolished.
