Waterford sheep farmer rent row moves to London as protesters occupy rare bookshop owned by duke


Protesters have occupied a rare bookshop in London owned by the Duke of Devonshire as rents for sheep farmers on his Waterford estate are set to increase by 900pc. The small group of activists have taken the case of hill sheep farmers in Lismore, Co Waterford, to Mayfair in London over what they are calling an “egregious” rise in rents over six years.
