The Telegraph report that Rooney and Knight went into a 50-50 challenge in training and the current player came off worse, potentially missing up to 12 weeks of action with a serious ankle injury. ‘Jason will be out for eight to 12 weeks,’ said the former Manchester United star. The Rams are hoping that will be agreed this week, with the Championship season just two weeks away.
