Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday said that the attack carried by the Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC) on the terror launch pads was a 100% perfect surgical strike. Over the last few days, leaders of various political parties have demanded proof on the surgical strikes conducted by the security forces. Speaking at an event in Uttar Pradesh organised by the state's BJP unit, Parrikar said, "We carried out a 100% perfect surgical strike, our nation carries the heart and courage to carry this task out." The Congress leader went on to demand 'some evidence' to prove the surgical strikes did take place and accused the Centre's ruling BJP of indulging in politics over the issue. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too had asked the government to release the proof of the cross-LoC surgical strikes to counter the Pakistani propaganda against the operation.
