President William Ruto has said the national government will partner with Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Chelilim Bii to build a bigger Eldoret market. Speaking on Christmas Day during the prayer summit at the Eldoret Sports club, the head of state said that Eldoret town will soon get a bigger market to accommodate the growing population. AdChoices ADVERTISINGThe Head of State was responding to a request by Bii to help in building a market that all traders can operate in. "The issue of the market, we will build a new one, and it will be bigger so that you don't keep fighting over the space for the smaller one," President Ruto said. Earlier, Governor Bii had noted that over 4,000 traders have been fighting over the market, causing regular push and pull between them and the enforcement officers.
