’Tosin OluwalowoFormer Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi says the resignation of Thomas Dennerby as the team’s coach was partly responsible for their inability to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. In an interview with our correspondent, Ebi, said Christopher Danjuma, who was appointed to replace Dennerby was not used to the team yet. “It’s so sad because we were looking forward to playing at the Olympics because we‘ve not qualified for the last two editions and we really focused on qualifying but unfortunately, we did not qualify,” Ebi told The PUNCH.
