The chamber of commerce’s Wellington Report also gave reasons for optimism including the reopening of the St James Theatre [above]. OPINION: The Wellington Chamber of Commerce, which represents many, but not all, businesses in Wellington, released its Wellington Report last week. However, I’ve noticed a more progressive and open chamber recently, especially since current CEO Simon Arcus took over, and the Wellington Report should be taken seriously. The Wellington Report also criticised WellingtonNZ, formerly the Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA). Although I don’t agree with everything in The Wellington Report, well done to the chamber of commerce for commissioning it.
