The 47-year-old former lock, who spent eight years as a player in Treviso before hanging up his boots and moving into coaching, is believed to be part of a three-man shortlist for the job. Benetton are looking for a new boss after it was confirmed that current head coach Calum McRae will leave at the end of the season to join the coaching ticket at Newcastle Red Bulls. Former Springbok head coach White has been interviewed for the position as he looks for a way back into the club game after parting company with fellow URC side Bulls last summer.
