Gévaudan, the youngest of the trio, and his lover, tries to defend Fenrir, but his destiny is sealed: exile. Alok Mukherjee is a lonely Indian professor of history attending a concert in Kolkata when a stranger, smoking some hash, approaches him with a strange secret. Together they travel — woman and werewolf — in search of a creature who chose to tempt fate. In doing so, Fenrir breaks the compact with his two companions. Norse shapeshifter Fenrir is immortal and hungry for human flesh but becomes enamoured by a woman named Cyrah, a prostitute whom he meets on his travels.
