LONDON, ONT.—The top-ranked Western Mustangs have moved one step closer to repeating as Vanier Cup champions. Running back Cedric Joseph scored two touchdowns and Chris Merchant threw for a pair of majors as Western downed the Carleton Ravens 39-13 on Saturday in the Ontario University Athletics football semifinals. The Mustangs, who went undefeated through the regular season, will host Guelph next week in the Yates Cup. The Gryphons rallied for a 27-22 road victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the other OUA semifinal. The Mustangs topped the Laval Rouge et Or 39-17 in the 2017 Vanier Cup.
