For years, we have been told higher interest rates are coming and we need to get our financial houses in order. homeowners carrying mortgages are the most affected by the higher rates, everyone will suffer. No one can escape the effects of higher rates — even those who don't have a loan or mortgage. When I speak to young people about debt I explain that "debt and drugs" have a lot in common.
