The companies made Forbes' annual lists of the "Best Large Employers" and "Best Midsize Employers" nationwide, released Feb. 10. Forbes named 1,200 organizations to its 2026 lists – 700 large employers and 500 midsize employers. As for midsize employers, Green Bay Packaging was named the best in Wisconsin by Forbes, ranking 9th of 500 employers. Eighteen of the 700 companies on Forbes' "Best Large Employers" 2026 ranking were headquartered in Wisconsin. Fourteen of the 500 companies on Forbes' "Best Midsize Employers" report were headquartered in Wisconsin.
