What parts of Scotland will be worst hit by Storm Elin as drookit December brings more heavy rain

Storm Elin is bringing strong winds and heavy downpours across the UK and Ireland. Parts of Scotland could see up to 30mm of rain on Saturday, with two Met Office yellow warnings in place for central, eastern and south-west Scotland. One warning lasting until 10pm on Saturday states: "Heavy rain will affect parts of central and eastern Scotland today bringing a risk of disruption." A second yellow warning lasting until 9pm on Saturday states: "Bands of heavy rain will bring a risk of localised flooding and some travel disruption." Met Office spokesman Stephen Dixon said a band of heavy wind and rain will move from the south-west of the UK towards the north-east on Saturday, "bringing with it heavy rain for much of the country".
