Working parents, average income earners and Aussies with relatives in aged care are set to be big winners from Tuesday's federal budget. Next Tuesday Josh Frydenberg will hand down this year's federal budget with a focus on supporting the economy to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. The federal government will also spend $2.03 billion on upgrading the Great Western Highway, with the New South Wales government contributing $508 million. On the day the report was announced Scott Morrison described the upcoming budget as an 'aged care budget' and promised to pour significant resources into the sector. People in northern Australia should see their property insurance premiums fall after Mr Morrison announced a $10 billion scheme.
