A new "one metre plus" rule is set to be announced in a bid to allow hotels and B&Bs to reopen, with branding being designed to help reassure customers and staff that the new will will be safe. However, other rules such as for checking in, transporting luggage and using lifts are yet to be confirmed. For hotels with dining areas, tables could be closer than two metres if customers face away from each other.
