Photo: Getty ImagesAn internet-surfing householder discovered he was being burgled after a thief unplugged and took his Wi-Fi modem in another room. The victim went into his lounge to investigate why his internet had gone down, and noticed his television was missing. He then discovered the burglar, Rangi Ferrall, standing in his garden, holding a basket containing the Wi-Fi modem and other possessions. According to court documents, Ferrall reacted by putting the basket down, kicking the victim in the stomach and punching him in the face. Ferrall was later convicted for assault, possessing an offensive weapon, trespassing, two charges of burglary and three of shoplifting.
