Neville Southall, who appeared at No8 on Carragher's list despite being almost 34 and past his brilliant best when the Premier League launched, was quick to disagree. Since then, top-flight English goalkeepers have become seriously endangered. David Seaman was the only Englishman included in Jamie Carragher's all-time top 10 Premier League goalkeepers listOnly three played in the latest Premier League fixtures. The inaugural Premier League season of 1992/93 featured 28 different English goalkeepers who made 571 appearances between them. The internationalisation of the Premier League is, of course, the driving factor.
